The simplicity and speed of Sumatra PDF has already been acknowledged here; I like that too, but I just want to point out a few other things:1) This must be the cleanest looking PDF reader around. The latest version has added tab support, but the tab bar is superimposed on the titlebar, which frees up some vertical space. The conventional menu bar has been replaced by a button at the top left corner which brings up a cascading main menu.2) As the SnapFiles editor mentioned, the app also supports the CHM format, which is used for help files. Opening a help file in Sumatra makes it much easier to read, because you can zoom it to a comfortable reading size. Also, the indexes in most of those help files will show up in the left-hand sidebar as bookmarks once you enable them.3) I've tried several other PDF readers. All of them surpass the bloated reader from Adobe. STDU Viewer, which I've reviewed here as well, is good, but I've just discovered that its rendering of PDFs is inferior to that of Sumatra, especially in music scores. Curved lines appear jagged in STDU but are much smoother in Sumatra. In addition, STDU sometimes misaligns notes on the staff, which makes the score hard to read. Review details

So I decided to give SublimeText a shot. In this post, I want to share theconfigurations necessary to write and compile LaTeX source code and to previewthe produced PDF files.

The full installation of TeX Live may take more than half of an hour dependingon various factors. Stay patient. After installation, you should add TeX Liveexecutables to your system PATH. On my system, the directory where theseexecutables reside is D:texlive2017binwin32.

Restarting your computer may be required for PATH change to take effect.

Now, you should install theLaTeXTools package, whichprovides a lot of functionalities for writing and compiling LaTeX files. If youhave installed package control, you can installthis package using package control.

To preview the produced PDF files, I recommend using the well-knownlight-weight Sumatra PDFreader. After install,we should also set its path properly.

After all these installations and settings, we can use the built-in function ofLaTexTools to check our system. To check if there are any issues, follow theimage below on how to do it:

If there are no issues found, you can now write and compile your LaTeX sourcefiles.

Use the shortcut key Ctrl+B to compile the file. You maybe prompted to choose a builder. Just choose the basic builder.

There are a few packages designed for use with LaTeXTools, for example,LaTex-cwl andLaTeXYZ. You should install them toenhance your experience of writing LaTeX in Sublime Text.

Inverse search is a handyfeature. First, compile any tex files and open it with Sumatra PDF reader. Thengo to Settings -> Options. In the inverse search part, use the followingsetting:
